BUSINESS HOURS:

Capstone Film Lighting is a small, family-run business. This allows us special flexibility with working hours that bigger companies do not offer.
Pickups and returns at our warehouse space must be scheduled ahead of time so we can be sure to meet you on time.
We are typically avaliable weekdays 9AM to 6PM, but later hours and weekends can usually be arranged at your convenience with a service fee.

Please contact us to arrange a time for pickup between 12PM and 6PM.
RETURNS: 9AM - 11AM
Please contact us to arrange a time for return between 9AM and 11AM.
RUSH ORDERS
Pickup and Return times should always be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
Same-day orders/pickups made before 6PM are possible as long as we have time to pull the gear in time for your pickup time.
Same-day orders/pickups made after 6PM are possible, but have an overtime fee of 25% of the total order cost.
LATE RETURNS
Please notify us in a timely manner if you are running late.
For returns over 1 hour late with no notifications to us, a $25/hour fee will accrue per every hour late.
For returns made after 6PM, an additional 1-day rental price will be charged.

Prices listed represent 1 day rental rates.
Weekend rentals (pickup Friday, return Monday) are typically priced as 1 day.
We often apply discounts based on student status. We will work with your budget!
Prices subject to change at any time.
DELIVERY
We offer delivery and pickup to and from your set location, based on the circumstances of your shoot schedule, location and gear order. If you are interested in this service, just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your project. We also offer delivery on Saturdays and Sundays.
Payment is to be completed before or during gear pickup unless other arrangements have been made.
We accept Company or Personal Check, Credit Card, Cash, of PayPal. For swiped credit card, there is a 2.75% fee, for manually entered credit cards, there is a 3.5% fee.

Discounted packages are sometimes available. Student discounts are often available. We will work with your budget!

DISCOUNTS
TRUCK RESERVATIONS
Truck Package orders are not officially reserved (locked down) until we are paid a no-refundable 25% of the order price.
Due to the high demand of our grip truck packages, it is our policy to rent to whichever client solidifies the deal and pays the 25% first.

3-TON GRIP TRUCK RENTAL
Copies of Insurance Certificates should be emailed to us 3 days before pickup. For an example of acceptable insurance, please see this example.
For Grip, Light and Camera Rentals:
We require GENERAL LIABILITY Insurance. We require One Million dollars of coverage. CAPSTONE FILM LIGHTING must be named as "additionally insured."

If you don't have General Liability insurance for gear rentals, please contact us, and we will help figure you out another option to allow you to rent from us.
For 3-Ton Grip Truck Rentals:
We require AUTO LIABILITY. We require One Million dollars of coverage for Non-owned, Hired-auto liability coverage, with physical damage. CAPSTONE FILM LIGHTING LLC must be named as "additionally insured."
We always require AUTO LIABILITY insurance when renting out our trucks. No exceptions.
INSURANCE CERTIFICATE
You must sign our rental agreement before checking out. We will provide it at gear checkout/pickup. We can email it to you ahead of time if you request it. Or, download it here:
Capstone Film Lighting is not responsible for any liabilities, claims, costs or expenses arising out of the use or possession of its equipment. We offer and encourage you to inspect and test the equipment at our facility before pick up of equipment. We recommend ample time for checking gear at our lot before loading out.
RENTAL AGREEMENT
We have a large variety of grip and light gear, but we don't have everything (yet).
We understand that cinematographers and gaffers can be very specific in the gear they need, so if we don't have something you want to rent from us, we always do our best to either subrent the item for you, or point you in the direction of another trusted rental company that has the item.
The more time we have to figure out a subrental the better. We need at least 3 days notice before we can subrent gear.
For subrentals on large items where we need to use our 3 Ton Truck to pick up and return (like long track, or dollies), there is a $100 drivers fee + gas and 40c/mile.
We can't promise to subrent. Please check our Full Gear List to see our current inventory.
Note: Discounts will not apply to any subrented items.
SUBRENTALS
All equipment is rented in good condition and is to be returned in good condition, less normal wear and tear. Any repair work for damaged equipment will be paid for by the renter. Desert, beach, dirty, or wet filming conditions may require a cleaning fee if the items are not returned in the same condition, less normal wear and tear.
If equipment is damaged beyond repair, lost or stolen, renter will pay full replacement list price.
